Guess What?? We are all in debt! And we: a) own our own business, b) work for someone else, or c) are unemployed, right? Let’s break this down.
a) Own our own traditional business: sales are down, WAY down, laid off all or most of the employees, and are trying to keep the doors open by working the store/business every day. Can’t pay vendors, can’t afford inventory and you never have time for yourself.
b) Work for someone else: Someone else is telling us what we are worth. There is absolutely no job security. Basically renting your income. We have no control over our pay, our time or our worth.
c) Unemployed: either receiving limited and temporary benefits, or getting nothing at all – possibly homeless or that’s the next thing coming.
So are there options? Yes. There are ALWAYS options, but there aren’t that MANY of them. They are there; yet many people don’t pursue these alternatives. Why? Because it means one has to change their internal programming – do something different, and we just aren’t taught how to do this. We continue to follow the same path, do the same things, and then wonder why we aren’t getting ahead. Go to school! Get an education! Graduate and then find a job that can pay off your student loans! Not available? Keep looking! Or go back to school! It’s a cycle that DOES NOT WORK!
If you are struggling to stay above water, slashing about, but getting nowhere, and someone throws you a life raft, would you grab it? Of course, you say! But if I offer you a chance to turn your life around, with a little hard work, but definitely change life as you know it, why do you hesitate to even look at the opportunity? Because it would mean you would have to accept that for 10, 20, 30 or more years, you have been doing it ALL WRONG! Look at the three items above: own a business, working for someone else, unemployed– that’s the American way! How’s that working for you???
Okay, let’s not be so negative. Let’s say you have a great job, make a decent salary and have most things you want or need…you are, as they say, comfortable. If you lost that ‘decent salary’ for three straight months, would you have a backup plan to compensate for the loss of that revenue? Would you still be able to live the comfortable life you have? Well, guess what? It runs out very quickly. Very quickly. I know. It happened to me.
I had to go job hunting. And I did. Got some side work, part time work here and there, but the job market has pretty slim pickins’. I got some freelance jobs, here and there, to bring some dollars in, and when the job was done, I got paid. Yay! But that was it. The job finished, and the money came in, but then the job was done, and so was the money. There’s got to be a better way.
There is. It’s called network marketing. What? The big taboo? It’s a big pyramid!! Puh…lease! Did you know that McDonald’s was thought to be an illegal pyramid at first? Yep. True story. Network marketing is the next evolution of franchising. 80% of what we buy today, we buy from a franchise. Even Real Estate brokerages are using network marketing strategies.
So knock it off with the eewww … it’s a pyramid thing. Or “It’s a scam!!” Yeah, it’s a scam. I’m involved n a big scam! And Donald Trump, three Attorneys Generals, the Direct Sellers Association, the Better Business Bureau, the founder of ESPN, and hundreds of thousands of people are all in on it!! You are the only one who isn’t in on the scam!!! Ok – get it now?
So what can network marketing do for you? It can provide residual income – revenue from work you have done once and that you will continue to get paid for – always. And you leverage others to do the same – they make money and you make money from their work, too. Network marketing provides a vehicle that you drive, that you control, to build your financial freedom.
Could you use an extra $500 a month? $1,000? $10,000? What would it take for you to ‘be comfortable’ and not worry if you didn’t work for 3 months? Even if you make 6 figures a year, there’s no guarantee that it will be there next month. You need a Plan B! One of the founders of ESPN recently partnered with the same company I represent. Clearly he knows the value of a Plan B. We all need a Plan B!
Here’s a little financial exercise. Answer these few questions:
- Are you looking to make extra money now or are you currently happy with the money you make?
- Is your retirement all put away?
- Do you have a lot of cash put away?
- Do you have money available to you when you are not working?
- Do you have a plan to change any of these things in the next 3 to 5 years?
So now tell me why you won’t look at this opportunity. This is your life raft. Grab it.
